Dear WTS Members and Friends,

Have you made plans to attend the conference in Atlanta, May 14th-16th?  I know it seems like you have a lot of time, but before you know it May will be here… and we want everyone to attend the conference and get their WTS “fix.”  In addition, we have scheduled the second fun walk/run to benefit our chapters’ and national scholarships.  Our conference is the best, and all who attend benefit.

I want to thank the Boston Chapter for inviting me to participate in their winter reception.  One of the benefits of being the WTS International President is visiting the chapters and getting to know all of you. We are an amazing group of people who are accomplishing incredible things within the transportation industry.

During February, I met with a dynamic group of people in Jacksonville, Florida, who are very enthusiastic about starting a chapter.  Shannon Short and Cynthia Alder are working with them to get them chartered.  From Jacksonville, I went to Miami and attended the South Florida Chapter’s scholarship luncheon.  I had the honor of introducing the two scholarship winners.

After Miami, it was on to Orlando where the Central Florida Chapter hosted our February board meeting.  Their scholarship gala was the place to be.  We appreciate the chapter’s hospitality.

It is my pleasure to announce our newest WTS chapter in Northeast Ohio.  We now have forty-two chapters.

I believe this is my last letter to you as international president.  It has been an incredible journey and an honor to have led such a prestigious organization.  It has been filled with unparallel opportunities and great challenges, all of which have resulted in the growth of WTS and me.

I have to take this opportunity to thank the 2006-2008 International Board of Directors, Advisory Board, Scholarship Board, and staff who have worked hard over the last two years to help WTS grow.  Each and every one of you has dedicated an enormous amount of time and energy, and it is greatly appreciated.

Finally, thanks to my employer, Parsons Brinckerhoff, who continues to support WTS very generously and made it possible for me to be president.

Sincerely,
Ann L. Koby
WTS International President
